I Just Can't Say No...

Holy crap. I had an awesome weekend. Check it, yo:

Saturday -- Went up to Meeks Park for the show. It was a lot of fun. I played crappy, Rollie played really good, GMST did alright, and Jon Crocker...Oh, Jon Crocker...He was AMAZING! Incredible live performance. People actually donated this time too, so sweet!

After the show, me, Winston, Jon, Mark, Johnny, Trey, Bethany, and Packy went out to Chinese then back to Trey's house, where pretty much all of us were crashing that night. Here's where the fun begins...I can't even remember all the awesome stuff we did...Make some videos, played some songs, told jokes...At 3AM (the actual "witching hour"), Bethany, Clay, and I went to this "haunted" church to see if we saw anything. This is one freaky church. There is a crooked, ragged looking cross nailed to the front of the building. Theere's a tree whose shadow throws itself over the corss, blocking it from view. There's tons of weird, random junk around it, like broken buckets, a flipped over boat, and all sorts of other junk. So anyway...We're looking around the church and out of nowhere we see a solid grey cat with white paws run up to and sit on the step into the front of the church, give a bloodcurling death "meow" and start walking towards us. It has no collar, but it won't come any closer than a foot to us. When we tried to back away from it, it kept walking in another direction, constantly looking back to see if we were following...If we weren't it would keep coming closer to us...We followed it until it started leading us towards the back of the church, when Trey called Clay. Trey was asking if we were outside of the house cause they heard beating on the garage door. Clay told him where we were and no later than 2 seconds after he hung up the phone, we hear footsteps and a the sound of chains or sheetmetal or something clanging in the woods. We ran about halfway back to Clay's house, then began to slow down and walk again. When we get back to the house, all the lights are off and Mark, Johnny, Jon, and Trey are in bed. Bethany, Clay, and I weren't tired, though so we decided to watch a couple movies. The first movie was "Pet Symetary." "Church," the cat on there, looked exactly like the one we saw at the church. Kinda freaky? Once that movie was over, we put in "The Exorcist: The Beging" or whatever it's called. It started off a bit slow for me, but picked up fairly quickly. At about the middle of the movie Clay started sleeptalking about like...toast and stuff...and kept rolling over on Bethany...It was funny. But anyway, about 1/3 of the way through the movie, Bethany and I decided that we weren't gonna go to bed at all, because it would be pointless by the time the movie was over.

When the movie finished, Bethany and I went into where Trey, Mark, and Johnny were sleeping and put shaving cream all over their faces to wake them up (this is like 7AM). None of them got back to sleep the rest of the day. Once everybody got up, Bethany laid down on the futon and went to sleep. Not much happened between then (11ish) and 3ish. I kinda just sat in a really comfy chair and dozed off for about 30 minutes. Jon Crocker said his goddbyes and whatnot and left out to go mountain climbing and to get on the road for Asheville at about 1. He said he'd come back. So yay!

At around 4, Clay decided to go cut down a tree and start a fire. Well...we also had the bright idea of cooking over it. So we cooked hot dogs and smores over a nifty little fire made from wood and leaves from Clay's yard for like 3 hours. Suuuhhh-weet!

But yea. This weekend was pretty much awesome. Hopefully next weeks'll be even half as good.
